"Everyone has got to know about RESCUE ONE!"
Kevin Park
SET DECORATOR

"The entire company including the Director, Producers and Production Manager were impressed with your service. The Art Department commented on how well your vehicle graphics and turn-out gear worked visually for our purposes. Kevin, our on site Set Decorator was equally impressed with how organized the vehicle was and that he needed to do nothing to 'tweak'.

Thank you all so much again. I would highly recommend your company to any prospective production for either stand-by or picture vehicle work.

Keep up the good work and I'll be looking for another opportunity to employ your services."
Chris Rudolph
LOCATION MANAGER

"Reliable...very professional. We were impressed with the trained and qualified staff and the up to date equipment. I will not hesitate to use this service again."
Trish Streloff

PARAMEDIC'S UNION
Every Medic who works for RESCUE ONE is an off-duty Ambulance Service paramedic, and a member of the paramedic union.

"I have known and worked (on the BC Ambulance) with Ray for the past seven years and have never seen nor heard of any conflict between his company and any members of Local 873(paramedic's union). Knowing and seeing Ray's level of professionalism and integrity over the past several years, I can't see there ever being a conflict between Rescue One and Local 873 in the future."
Richard Matheson

    Personnel

  • Paramedic Trained Attendants
Every RESCUE ONE attendant has unrestricted WCB Level III certification. Beyond the WCB requirements most RESCUE ONE medics are paramedic trained and have extensive experience dealing with the stress of both medical and trauma calls. There are no beginners on our teams.

  • First Aid/Safety Supervisors
Ray Chickite has ten years extensive experience as a Paramedic, Firefighter, and Rescue Specialist. He is a municipal Firefighter, DOT Airport Firefighter, Rope Rescue Team Leader, First Responder Instructor, as well as First Aid and Safety Instructor.

  • Firefighters
In addition to paramedic training, all RESCUE ONE employees classified as FireMedics are NFPA certified Firefighters, all experienced professionals. This is an added benefit to those we protect in a fire scene, because the attendant will be a trained firefighter and will be used to the dynamics of a fire situation. FireMedics have protective gear and are experienced using SCBA.

One benefit of having licensed, experienced RESCUE ONE Firefighters on location is that initial fire response time is immediate. Our firefighters also have extensive paramedic and rescue training, so that if some one does get hurt, the skills of our FireMedics is right there. Our Medics have firefighter turn-out gear, and can perform both jobs; Firefighter and Medical Treatment.

Because our FireMedics are protected from the heat and smoke, it allows the medic to reach a patient in undesirable conditions and start treatment sooner. Our suited FireMedics can be readily available in situations that would be inaccessible by an untrained, unprotected attendant.

  • Divers
Our dive personnel will hand off patients from the water to the dive tenders who are paramedic trained. Emergency treatment will begin immediately in the boat.

On one location, the helicopter pilot said that because of our qualifications and equipment, he was willing to go out over the ocean further and fly lower.

  • Swift Water Rescue

  • Rope Rescue
Our FireMedic teams have rope rescue training for added ability to reach patients. Once the patient is reached, our rope rescue personnel can start emergency treatment immediately because each rope rescue specialist is also paramedic trained.

When you need rope rescue, you can be certain that you will not be in an ideal situation. It is going to take some time to get you out of where you are, and to medical help. But when RESCUE ONE is the rescuer, treatment will start as soon as you are reached. That is our REACH AND TREAT advantage, because all our rope rescue teams have paramedic trained attendants.

  • Confined Space Rescue

  • Consultants

  • Coordinators

    REACH AND TREAT
We offer the added benefit of being able to REACH a patient in less than ideal circumstances with the added rescue skills that all team leaders and Medics have. The patient can be TREATED immediately where they are, and there is no time between reaching the patient and treating the patient.

All RESCUE ONE personnel are certified and extensively experienced in two or more specialized areas. We are used to dealing with high stress situations and performing our duties regardless of the situation. Our patients receive the benefit of our years of training and experience.

Whatever you need...we will put the teams together to ensure the safety and rescue skills you require on your set will be there.

    RESCUE ONE teams maintain continuity,
    maximize efficiency and
    eliminate confusion.

RESCUE ONE provides safety and protection.
    We are dedicated and determined.

    We are skilled.
    We are trusted.
    We are life savers.

  •   Equipment

  • Ambulances

Rescue One ambulances are equipped far beyond WCB standards, including all first aid supplies, advanced medical and trauma equipment, protective fire fighting gear, rescue equipment, red lights and siren, cellular and VHF radio communications, and all licenses and insurance.

  • Defibrillators
We were the first industrial ambulance service in Canada to receive the medical endorsement and licanse to practice this life saving skill and have the equipment on board. We work under a doctor of emergency medicine in Vancouver, who oversees our training through the Justice Institute. RESCUE ONE'S technical supervisor, Ray Chickite is an A.E.D. Instructor with the Justice Insitute.

  • Protective Gear
Firefighters and Rescue Specialists have all the required rescue equipment, safety and protective gear. This provides the First Aid Attendat with the added benefit of protection from the heat and smoke and will allow the medic to reach a patient in undesirable conditions and start treatment sooner. Our suited FireMedics can be readily available in situations that would be inaccessible by an untrained, unprotected attendant.

  • Uniforms
First aid attendants, FireMedics, Firefighters, Divers and Rescue personnel are all uniformed and easily identifiable. They will be dressed in our designated uniforms at all times while on duty and nightime uniforms have reflective trim for high visibility in the dark. Each specialist has top of the line equipment.

  • Boats
Rescue boats are equipped with spinal immobilization equipment, trauma kits and water safety equipment.
